How to Use the EBSCO databases
(Only
available to Greenland Residents)
1. Get a User ID and password from the library.
2. Go to the library Web page and click on “Reference”
3. Click on the
symbol.
4. Put in your User ID and password and click on [Login].
5. Choose a service:
General magazines, many in full text, searchable by keywords.
Great
for kids through middle school, includes an encyclopedia, dictionary,
selected magazines for research projects, and an animal encyclopedia.
Everything the fiction reader needs to find new authors, find out
about old favorites, or choose the next book to read.
Search current information by broad topics.
6. Choosing a database in EBSCO HOST under Adult Services
Resources, Children's/YA Resources, Children's Resources, All EBSCO
Resource and EBSCOhost Text Only:
Click on a box or boxes to
select or de-select a database(s) to search. You can choose as many as you
want. The general
magazine index is called “MasterFILE Premier”. For scholarly journals,
choose “Academic Search Elite”.
Then click on [Continue].
Congratulations, you are in. If you need help getting into the
databases, or using them come to the library for a quick run-through.
